Introduction and Background
Ranfurly Residential Care Centre (RRCC) relocated to 6 Monmouth Street from Nelson Street on the 11th December 2013. We now have 74 continuing care or hospital level rooms available instead of the 50 we had. In addition to that service we have a 20 bed centre for specialised Dementia level care sometimes referred to as stage 3 level care for those residents who need to be cared for in a restricted / secure environment with specialist staff. This opened in May and is proving very popular.

To complement these levels of care there are the Residential Care Suites - they are License to Occupy (LTO) apartments meaning you purchase the rights to live in that apartment. These rooms are larger than the other rooms and have a private lounge, en-suite and kitchenette. They are available as singles or doubles which suit married couples or partners; siblings or good friends. These are initially purchased either by the family or the individual and then an on-going residential care fee is additional - the same payment required anywhere once assessed as needing 24 hour care. This will be paid privately or via the super and government subsidy depending on asset thresholds (this is established by WINZ not RRCC staff).

While RRCC’s main focus is on offering premium residential care services we are also fortunate to have six stand alone LTO units for sale. These are available for purchase to those individuals or couples who want the security of having help nearby, but who are still able to live independently. The people in these units have the option of joining in with the facility activities and meals as required.

Ranfurly enjoys an excellent reputation in the community and has an experienced and skilled team of staff who are passionate about delivering a high standard of care to our seniors. We have an experienced Diversional Therapist to plan our events calendar, there is always something happening or to look forward to.
