Ranfurly Residential Care Centre's (RRCC) Hospital Unit has the capacity for 74 residents, with the majority of these for residents requiring Hospital level care. The majority of our rest home level residents are in our residential care apartments, however, we do have 10 beds available in our hospital unit for people assessed as needing Rest Home level care. We have further Rest Home level beds available at our recently refurbished 'Nelson Residential Care Centre' in Nelson Street, Feilding. This facility is for Rest Home level Care Residents. Please phone Nelson Residential Care Centre Facility Manager, Hayley McKean, on 06 280 4839 for all inquiries.
Before you can be admitted to any of our residential beds you need be assessed as needing residential care (24 hour care). Your assessment is completed by a Needs Assessor from SupportLinks and can be initiated by your GP, or via the hospital, if you are an inpatient. Once you have been assessed, you will be advised whether you need a facility that offers either rest home, dementia or hospital level care. We offer all three levels of care at RRCC, but please note our general rest home bed numbers at RRCC are limited.
All residents, regardless of level of care, are required to pay the residential care fee. This will be paid either privately or via the 'super' and government subsidy, depending on asset thresholds - this threshold is established by WINZ / MOH, not RRCC staff.
Ranfurly enjoys an excellent reputation in the community and has an experienced and skilled team of staff who are passionate about delivering a high level of care to our seniors.
We have Registered Nurses (RNs) working 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The RNs are supported by a strong, professional care giving team.
We take caring for our elders very seriously and consider it a real privilege to care for you or your loved one.
